I probably won't post very many songs that aren't "Piggy Back" songs (songs that are sung "to the tune of"). This will avoid issues of unfamiliar melodies. If anyone has any other words, feel free to post them in the Comment section so we can all enjoy the new words.
O TOM THE TOAD (tune: O Tannenbaum, or Maryland My Maryland for the Civil War buffs)
O Tom the toad, O Tom the Toad
Why did you hop upon the road (repeat)
You were my friend and now you're dead
You bear the marks of tire tread
O Tom the toad, O Tom the toad
Why did you hop upon the road?
Additional Verses
You did not see yon passing car
And now you're stretched out on the tar.
You hopped out on the yellow line
And turned into a streak of slime.
It's clear to all you're in a rut
We all did see your gushing gut.
There was a loud and awful crash
For poor old Tom had just got smashed
